Tracie Goode Joins Cox Center In Program Coordinator Position

Tracie Goode became the newest member of the staff of the James M. Cox Jr. Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research when she joined the Center in late November as a Program Coordinator.

Goode, who holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Rutgers University and did graduate work in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, in which the Cox Center is housed, will have primary responsibility for Center financial matters.

"We're delighted to have someone with Tracie's background and experience join us," Dr. Lee B. Becker, Cox Center Director, said. "Her combination of training in journalism and affinity for financial details is really valuable."

Goode has worked as a collections representative for BellSouth Telecommunications, a Resident Account Clerk at the Athens Housing Authority, an editor at Graphics Composition, Inc., in Athens, and a General Educational Development Instructor for the Athens Regional Library.

Program Coordinators in the Cox Center are responsible for day-to-day operation of the Center, working with Dr. Becker and Cox Center Assistant Director Dr. Tudor Vlad on training and research projects for journalists and journalism around the world.

Goode joins Kornelia Probst-Mackowiak in the program coordinator positio.

Michele Head, who served as a program coordinator in the Center for three years, became an event planner in the Grady College in November.
