A weekly series of Grady students highlighted for their exciting and innovative internship opportunities. Written by Yarbrough-Grady intern Paula Bryant.
Elyse Tremble, a senior Grady Ambassador majoring in public relations and communication studies, executed key public relations practices as an intern at Rogers and Cowan in New York City during the summer.
While interning at Rogers and Cowan, a global entertainment public relations and marketing agency, Tremble assisted in research, creating copy for press materials and planning special events.
Tremble also contributed to the agency's entertainment strategies through creative sessions, as well as event preparation for clients.
"I worked three press events and helped write talking points for national morning television shows while interning," Tremble said. "My proudest moment was seeing my writing and pitching pay off when a client was covered on People.com."
Tremble believes interning at Rogers and Cowan complimented and strengthened her knowledge from Grady classes.
"My internship at Rogers and Cowan was a great supplemental learning experience," Tremble said. "It provided me with the opportunity to engage in the daily public relations practices we learn at Grady."
