Grady Alum Receives Honor from Berry College

Bernard Alan Storey (ABJ ’72) has been awarded the Mountain Day Leadership Award by the Berry College chapter of the Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) national leadership honor society. The award recognizes a faculty/staff member or friend of the college who exemplifies outstanding leadership and best personifies Berry’s motto, “Not to be ministered unto, but to minister.”

A staff member at Berry since the 1970s, Storey has distinguished himself in service to four college presidents. He has held numerous leadership positions, including executive assistant to the president, public relations director, director of Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum, secretary to the Berry College Board of Trustees, and photography instructor. He has also served in an advisory capacity for the Campus Carrier newspaper, the Krannert Center Activities Board, Berry Motor Works, and the Photography Club. He currently serves as director of photographic services and community relations in the Office of Public Relations and Marketing. He is a past recipient of Berry’s Martindale Award of Distinction, which recognizes faculty/staff members who promote continuous improvement, implement innovative approaches to problem solving, and inspire others to extraordinary achievement.
