The Georgia Press Educational Foundation is offering several scholarships for the 2004-05 school year for current high school seniors. The application deadline is Feb. 1.

The deadline to get your school's media enrolled in GSPA for the 2004-05 school year has been extended to Nov. 24, 2004. You must join GSPA by Nov. 24 to be eligible to enter the 2005 spring contests.

Yearbooks created during the 2003-2004 academic year are all due at the same date this year -- there will no longer be two rounds of yearbook judging. The postmark deadline for contest entry for all 2003-2004 books is SEPT. 3, 2004.
Books will also be accepted any time prior to this deadline. However, all books will be judged together at the same time in September and October.
This year, General Excellence awards for yearbook competition will be presented at the GSPA/NSPA/JEA National Convention at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta Nov. 18-21. Visit www.jea.org for registration forms and more information.
