Grady Mentoring Program
- About the Grady Ambassador Peer Mentoring Program:
Who
:Anyone who is interested in having a Grady Ambassador as a peer mentor. This
applies to all majors, those students in Grady, pre-Grady, unknown majors, new
students, and transfer students.
What:
This program is designed to pair Ambassadors with any of the above outlined
students. The appointed Ambassador and student will meet approximately once a
month to discuss anything important to the student. The goals of the program involve
Ambassadors working with other students to assist with the foll
owing:
- Going to different organizations meetings together
- Helping students get more involved with the Grady College
- Learning about leadership opportunities
- Talking to students about classes, course materials, and other educational topics
- Sharing opinions and advice about different courses, projects, etc.
- Discussing career goals, internships, and full-time employment opportunities
- Sharing internship experiences
- Discussing how to research and find internship and full-time
opportunities
- Sharing resume, cover letter, and interview experience and tips
- Creating stronger relationships with students inside the Grady College, fostering
better alumni relationships
- Encouraging students to keep in touch with each other and Grady for
many years to come!
- Creating peer relationships to provide an outlet for students
to discuss anything
relevant in their lives!
