Emily Samuels
Emily Samuels is a senior majoring in Magazines. Originally from New York City, her parents tragically relocated to Atlanta when she was 7. Itching to get back to her true home, Manhattan, she hopes to pursue a career in Fashion Magazines, becoming a writer and editor. Emily loves Grady and is thrilled to be a part of such a fantastic team. Emily is currently the president of her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, and is involved with the Red and Black and hold the external director position on Dance Marathon Exec (for those looking to get involved, we’d love to have you!) She loves loud shoes, sweaters in the summer, long hair, being tan, studying and being a closet nerd, MIKA’s new album, her blackberry pearl and UGA. Emily hates the extreme heat that makes her endlessly uncomfortable, traffic on Lumpkin, not being 21, missing her best friends at other schools and having to wait for a machine at the gym (which is why she just joined OMNI). Emily is so excited to be here and can’t wait to get to know everyone! |

Brooke Stevens
Georgia born and Georgia bred, nothing gives her more pride than the university. More specifically, she is proud to represent the Grady College as an ambassador. Brooke Stevens is currently an Advertising Major senior with plans to graduate in December of 2008. She is also majoring in Marketing with a minor in Spanish. Her parents live in Peachtree City, Georgia, and she has an older brother who runs his own business out of Atlanta. Her older sister just returned to graduate school and lives here with her in Athens, and their two dogs: Tobyn and Meika. Her dog, Meika, is a Siberian Husky, and yes, she can live comfortably in the South. Brooke also has two different colored eyes, which is kind of cool, but freaks her out sometimes too.
Brooke is an outgoing student involved in a variety of organizations across campus. When she is not in school or participating in extra-curricular activities, you will find her spending time with friends and family. Brooke loves going to concerts and listening to any kind of live music. Of course she loves to go shopping, and really enjoys trying out new restaurants and trying to cook on her own as well. Brooke will also do anything that keeps her active or being outdoors, from laying out by the pool to camping and fishing. Along with 99% of the campus community, she loves football season, tailgating, and supporting the Dawgs. Brooke also tries to catch Falcons and Braves games whenever she can.
Brooke has a strong passion for her areas of study and cannot wait to get into the real world and put her education into practice. Don’t get her wrong, she loves the college life, but is anxious to start her career and begin climbing the long ladder of success. Her future plans also involve coming back to school for a Master’s degree, area of study to be determined. Cursed with entrepreneurial blood in my family, Brooke has a secret desire to own her own company one day in the marketing and advertising arenas as well. As for now, she is looking forward to enjoying her final classes and football games and preparing for what the future holds. |
