and Research, University of Georgia Goal To provide the setting for an exchange of ideas between experts from
the U.S. and experts from central and eastern Europe. Such an exchange
should help the nations of central and eastern Europe identify the means
by which they may stimulate and maintain the creation of intellectual
property while promoting and maintaining those aspects of national identity
surviving in their intellectual legacy. The exchange also should help
U.S. and western European experts understand the issues facing central
