The Cox International Center is a unit of the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. The Grady College is one of the oldest and most respected journalism schools in the United States and is fully accredited. The University of Georgia is the country's oldest land-grant institution, chartered in 1785.

The Cox Center was founded in 1990 and named for the late James M. Cox, Jr., who headed Cox newspaper chain enterprises for many years.

         
Dr. Lee B. Becker

Dr. Lee B. Becker is the director of the Cox Center and professor in the Department of Journalism, College of Journalism and Mass Communication, at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Tudor Vlad is associate director of the Cox Center.
