11:00-11:30 am - Meeting with Drs. Lee Becker and Tudor Vlad, director and assistant director of the Cox Center, and with Dr. Ayman Nada, professor at the Cairo University, Egypt. Discussion of the Cox Center international research.

11:30 – 12:00 pm - Meeting with Dr. Horace Newcomb, director of the Peabody Awards program.

12:00 – 1:00 pm - Lunch with Grady College faculty.

1:00 – 1:30 pm - Tour of the broadcast facilities of the Grady College.

1:30 – 2:15 pm - Meeting with Professor Dan Keever and Dr. Ayman Nada. Discussion of broadcast journalism education and new technologies.

2:15 – 3:00 pm - Meeting with Dr. Kent Middleton, head of the Journalism Department. Discussion of mass communication laws in the United States.

3:00 – 4:00 pm - Meeting with Professor Patricia Thomas, Knight Foundation Chair in Health and Medical Journalism at the UGA Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
