Cox Center Scholarship Program

The Cox Center supports students in the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication through scholarships and graduate research assistantships. With Cox Center assistance, students have worked, traveled and studied abroad, participated in Center outreach activities and assisted with daily operation of the Center.

Jianchuan “Henry” Zhou began working for the Cox Center as a Research Assistant in August 2007. Henry is also a doctoral candidate in mass communication. He obtained a Master’s degree in journalism at the University of Texas, Austin, in May 2004.

Before coming to the United States, Henry was a newspaper journalist in China for seven years. He was national and international editor for Xiamen Daily in Fujian Province for five years before moving to the English-language Shenzhen Daily in the city of Shenzhen.
